The Speedglas G5-03 VC Pro Air with Adflo PAPR is a fixed front welding helmet featuring the latest technology from 3M Speedglas. This includes a brand-new TAP function for easy switching between weld, grind and cut modes, Variable Colour in the dark state, TrueView in the light state, Climate Control to adjust helmet airflow, and arc detection down to an industry leading 1 Amp. What’s more, the G5-03VC Pro Air comes standard with the heavy-duty Adflo respirator, featuring a 12-hour battery runtime for continuous respiratory protection during long shifts.

Effective Welding Fume Protection:

With an advanced comfort face seal that follows the contours of the helmet and face, the G5-03 Pro Air welding helmet creates an effective positive pressure respiratory seal. Filtered air is delivered directly to the breathing zone of the welder, for maximum comfort and protection.

Variable Colour Welding Lens:

Designed for greater contrast, visibility and comfort, the G5-03VC welding lens lets you select between cool, warm and natural colour tones in the dark state. This feature provides increased versatility when switching between different welding applications and lighting conditions.

Exclusive Speedglas TAP Technology:

New TAP function allows you to seamlessly switch between welding, grinding and cutting modes by tapping the exterior of your welding helmet. This allows you to change between welding lens settings while keeping your respiratory, eye, and face protection in place.

Heavy-Duty Welding Lens:

Designed for welders working at high amperages, the G5-03 VC auto welding lens offers an extra dark shade 14 when performing heavy-duty welding applications.

Extra-Large Viewing Area with SideWindows:

Weld with enhanced vision, colour and clarity! A huge 73 x 109mm welding lens provides expansive views of your weld pool, while Speedglas SideWindows offer enhanced peripheral vision - giving you one of the largest welding lens viewing areas on the market!

Bluetooth® Memory Modes:

Adjust your welding lens settings from the palm of your hand, with new Bluetooth® lens technology. Welders can switch between dark shades, variable colour tones and program pre-set memory modes, via the 3M Connected Equipment app.

Customisable Head Harness:

The G5-03 Pro head harness is completely adjustable for a personalised fit. Designed for extended use in hard-wearing environments, the head harness evenly distributes weight to avoid fatigue and pressure points. An extra-large back pad provides additional support at the rear of the harness.

Weld, Cut, Grind & Tack:

Featuring a light shade of 3 and dark shades 5, 8-14, the G5-03 VC lens offers excellent versatility and is suitable for all common welding applications including MIG/MAG, MMAW, and TIG welding. New TAP technology allows you to easily switch between welding, cutting and grinding modes by simply tapping the outside of the helmet.

Task Light Designed for Welding:

An optional helmet-mounted task light is available, for welders working in low-light environments. Powered by the Adflo PAPR battery, the task light casts a wide light on your workspace, with even light distribution and adjustable light intensity.

HD Battery with One Hour Rapid Charge:

Heavy-duty welders require robust protection. To that end, the new heavy-duty Adflo battery offers a run-time of approximately 12 hours depending on conditions (4 hours longer than the standard Adflo battery). Rapid charge functionality means the battery can charge from 0-80% in just one hour, meaning you're ready to weld sooner!

Since its launch, the 3M™ Adflo™ powered air respirator has become synonymous with welders' respiratory protection. The system is designed to meet the specific needs of welders.

High Level of Protection:

The Adflo respirator complies with Australian and New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 1716 for powered air respirators and offers a Required Minimum Protection Factor (RMPF) of 50 for mechanically and thermally generated particles.

Intuitive Airflow Design:

The unique airflow design ensures that filtered air is distributed uniformly across the welder’s entire breathing zone. The advanced turbo unit maintains a constant airflow rate, while the diffuser evenly disperses the air for optimal comfort.

Mobile, Light Weight Welding Respirator:

Powered air respiratory protection that goes where you go. The Adflo welding PAPR is slim, lightweight and belt-mounted, allowing full mobility as you move around the workplace. The new Li-ion Adflo respirator is over 15% lighter than the older style version with Ni-MH (black) battery.

Powerful Protection Against Welding Fume & Gases:

The Adflo PAPR offers effective particulate protection against welding fume, and is also available with stackable gas filters if required. Battery and filter indicators assist the user in knowing when charging and filter changes are required.

Self-Adjusting Breathing Hose:

Designed for simple connection, the quick-release breathing tube allows for one handed connection and release. The hose is self-adjusting, meaning it is always kept close to the welders back and away from getting caught on surrounding objects.

Increased Airflow for Hot, Humid Jobs:

Regardless of the battery charge or the particle loading of the filter, the intelligent turbo unit maintains a steady airflow rate of 170 litres per minute. However, for welding in hot and humid environments, you can raise the airflow to 200 litres per minute to decrease fatigue and improve comfort.
